West Ham hosts Wolves on Sunday

Wolverhampton Wanderers will travel to the London Stadium to play the game on Sunday. Wolverhampton Wanderers have a good chance of taking advantage of the game at hand and, if they can beat them, can overtake West Ham.

West Ham faces Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday, looking to keep their hopes of a first four games. West Ham is fourth in the Premier League in goals scored (45 in 26 games), while Wolverhampton Wanderers are second in goals conceded (20 in 25 games). This season, West Ham United averages 1.62 points per game at home, and the Wolves are averaging 1.77 points per game away.

Wolverhampton Wanderers had won three of their last five games, and the only loss was against Arsenal when they lost 0-1 and 2-1 to the Gunners. Raul Jimenez’s opportunities and the way he works at Wolves are perfect. Raul Jimenez is Wolverhampton Wanderers’ all-time leader in assists with three (of 23 chances created) in 22 league games.

In their recent five matches, West Ham has scored six goals and conceded five goals. While on the other hand Wolves have scored five goals and conceded five goals in their last five games, three of those were scored by Arsenal.

West Ham‘s defence is not doing as good as Wolves’ defence. West Ham has conceded 34 goals overall, and most of them have come in the second half of the game. They have conceded more goals but have also scored more than Wolves; WHU has scored 45 goals while Wolves has scored 24 goals.

In the last meeting between these two teams, Wolves won when WHU visited them. Wolverhampton Wanderers won the game through Raul Jimenez’s goal in the second half of the game. Wolves were very aggressive in the home game; they had 15 shots on goal, from which five were on target. Wolves also had 52% ball possession and were also awarded seven corners.

West Ham United are only four points behind the fourth-placed Manchester United. David Moyes’ men look to finish in the top four to play in the premier competition in Europe. However, they have only won two matches from their previous five games. Their last two games ended in a draw; they came from behind against Leicester City and gave away the lead against Newcastle United. This game will be crucial in the top four race; by stopping their opponent from gaining points and getting close to the fourth spot, West Ham United will be desperate to win this one.

Wolves were very upset as they could not avenge Arsenal, as they handed them a loss. Arsenal defeated Wolves when they visited Molineux Stadium; Arsenal was reduced to 10 men after Martinelli was shown the second yellow card. In the reverse fixture, Wolves took the lead in the opening 10th min but gave away the game in the last 10 minutes. Wolves in the race for the fourth spot and advantage with a game in hand should try and convert a win.

As the race for the fourth position lights up, who do you think will be successful in grabbing that place?.
