West Ham entered the 2022/23 season with high hopes, contesting in the Premier League and the UEFA Conference League. Being a side that always tried to fight for an European spot in the Premier League, it was mission accomplished for the squad in the 2021/22 season, as they qualified for the UEFA Conference League by finishing in 7th place in the Premier League (just above Leicester City and behind Manchester United). While the 2021/22 season was a very eventful one for West Ham, which saw them compete in Europe for the first time in years, it gave their fans something to cheer about as they placed wagers on their team using bonus codes provided by sites that offer free no deposit betting.

The 2022/23 season was set to be an interesting one for West Ham and their fans, following a successful transfer window that saw Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta join the club, from Sassuolo in Italy and Lyon in France, respectively.

Expectations were high for West Ham in the Premier League, but it seems like nothing is going their way so far, as they sit in 15th place in the league with 14 points, just two points above the relegation zone. So far in the Premier League, they have won just 4 games out of 14 and lost a whopping 8 games.

On the other hand, in the UEFA Conference League, West Ham have dominated massively and impressively, winning all six of their group stage matches, finishing top of group B, and entering the round of 16 as massive favorites to lift the trophy. By winning all six games of the group stage, West Ham has made history, becoming the first side to win 100% of the group stage matches in the UEFA Conference League’s short history. Following the victory over Silkeborg in the last group stage game, West Ham has locked up a spot in the Round of 16 of an European competition for the second straight season.

In the 2021/22 season, they were also brilliant in the UEFA Europa League, progressing all the way to the semifinals but coming up short against Frankfurt, who went on to win the competition.

Following the playoff draw for the Conference League, West Ham will know who they will face in the Round of 16 in February 2023.

It would now seem that all of West Ham’s focus has been turned to the UEFA Conference League, where they have the ability to go all the way and win the trophy. However, losing the trophy could mean that they will not play European football next season if they do not perform well in the Premier League and secure a European spot.
